Gaming Update

I'm currently playing through Far Cry 3 and going to make a review on it as soon as I'm finish playing it, for now though all I will say is that it's amazing! There's guns, bows, stealth, animals, vehicles, poker and so much more to do in this game! Also Vaas is one hell of a foe, there's something quite likeable about him, personally he's one of my favourite gaming villains. I like to think of Far Cry 3 as an Uncharted RPG that's in the first person, other reviewers have also compared it to Skyrim with guns. Teaching You Chemistry

I am currently studying Chemistry at A-Levels and I wish to share what I learn with you, after all it is said that teaching other people is a good way of revising, so it benefits both me and you. I will start with the basics and work up from there.

The Atom

Atoms are what all elements and compounds are made out of, they are very small and cannot be seen with the naked eye. Atoms are made up of 3 types of particles which are the protons, neutrons and electrons, the proton and neutron make the nucleus of an atom.

Electrons:

Electrons have a -1 (negative) charge and the whizz around the nucleus in orbitals (circles), these orbitals make if for most of the volume of the atom.

Nucleus:

The majority of the mass of the atom is concentrated in the nucleus. The diameter of the nucleus rather small compared to the whole atom, inside the nucleus is where you can find protons and neutrons. 

Protons have a relative mass of 1 and a relative charge of +1

Neutrons have a relative mass of 1 and a relative charge of 0 (no charge)

Nuclear Symbols show numbers of Subatomic Particals

The mass number tells you the number of protons and neutrons that are in the nucleus,

The atomic or proton number tells you the number of protons in the nucleus

You can work out he number of neutrons in the nucleus by taking away the mass number from the atomic number (mass number-atomic number= neutron number). In this case 4-2=2, the neutron number is 2.

Why does time seem to fly by as we get older?

When you think back to your childhood or adolescent years, time seemed to pass a lot more slower than it does now, but why? Why did say, the first 10 years of our life seem so long while going from ages 30 to 40 seem to happen so quickly? Well people have looked into this, they managed to come to the conclusion. When you're 1 year old, that 1 year has been 100% of your life, when you've reached your 2nd birthday that year was a half of your life, when you're 3 years old that year was 1/3 of your life and when you're 40 years old 1 year is only 1/40 of your life, so it could be said that you become kind of adapted, but you could say that theory isn't very reliable. However, when something novel, something great or big happens in your life you tend to remember it, and as you look back on memories, you change something, its the reason why two different witnesses can give different feedbacks about a crime they saw being committed (not taking the fact that one is lying into account). It's been found that when something big happens in your life, like your first kiss. When you think back upon these memories within your first 10 years it feels longer because there's so much more to remember. So this means the more you do with your life, the more people you meet, the more places you see, generally the more big and exciting things you do in your life, the slower time will seem to pass, so get out there and live your life!

Should you walk or run in the rain?

Say it's a rainy day and you want to stay as dry as possible, should you walk in the rain or run in the rain? Walking in the rain would mean that you are travelling slower to your destination, meaning that more rain drops will hit you, so you should run, right? However running in the rain basically means you're just running into the rain anyway, you're not escaping any rain. If you move out of the way of one rain drop, you move into the way of another, so the number of rain drops hitting you is constant no matter your speed. If you don't understand this properly let me explain this better, if you think of rain as something that stays still in the air, it doesn't matter if you walk into that rain or run into that rain, you're still getting into it. If you don't actually go anywhere, and stay still, you will be drier than if you run/walk because rain is only hitting you from the top while if you walk or run rain is also hitting you from the side. Now there's the time factor, if you want to get to one point to another then the time factor comes into play, its a known fact that the longer you stay in the rain, the wetter you will get. Walking in the rain and running in the rain does mean you will get the same amount of rain drops on you, however the longer you stay in the rain, the wetter you get, therefore running will decrease the amount of time in the rain thus meaning less raindrops than walking.

Series: Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad first aired in 2008 and ever since has been a huge hit in America and many other countries. Throughout each season of Breaking Bad I was hooked and was left wanting even more.

Plot Summary/Storyline

The series of Breaking Bad has you follow Walter White, a 50 year old genius chemist cheated by his friend, now left a chemist teacher at a high school, where he is not appreciated at all. Walter White is informed that he now has lung cancer, all seems lost for Walter, he feels as though he is a failure to him and his family, until finally he decides to break bad. Walter decides to provide for his family as best as he can before lung cancer takes him by becoming a producer of America's highest quality crystal meth, with his former student Jessie at his side, helping him along the way with his street knowledge. As we follow his story there are many ups and downs that keep on making you want to watch the next episode.

My Personal Opinion

I personally love Breaking Bad, I must admit the first episode or so was kind of slow (as with many things good things come in time), but if you stick with it, you will learn to love Breaking Bad. As I followed Walters story I've grown attached to the characters and the hardships they face actually matter to me. Also watching Breaking Bad makes me (and a lot of other people I talk to that watch Breaking Bad) feel as though they want to become a drug dealer, Walter makes the life seem so exhilarating, fast and very well paid off, but alas I do not have neither the street knowledge, chemical knowledge or the courage to jump into the meth-amphetamine drug game. I would perhaps to go as far as to say Breaking Bad is perhaps up there with one of the best series this decade, or maybe even the next! Personally, I would say Breaking Bad is a MUST watch goes in my personal hall of fame.

DayZ

DayZ Mod

You may be asking yourself, exactly what is DayZ. Well DayZ is a mod of Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead. The mod is an online zombie survival game, and when I say it's a survival game I really mean it. At first it seems hard to get into since you start with basically nothing and you can't just run in killing everything like in every other game, but once you get into you it starts to become very fun and addictive. In DayZ you have to try find supplies to keep you alive, such as food and water. Also you will need to try find weapons to fend off zombies and other players or bandits. In DayZ there is constant PvP, so you need to watch out for people, anyone could betray you, anyone. There's been countless times where I've been backstabbed, and now due to that shamefully I also betray people (sometimes if I don't like something they've done). You might be thinking why would someone kill me in the first place, we're all trying to survive. Well when you kill someone or someone gets killed they drop their items and anyone can loot it. Anime: Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online follows Kirito a typical anime teenager. In Sword Art Online, the netgear helmet puts players into a virtual world where everything can be Touched, Smelled, Heard, Seen and Tasted. All seems well until suddenly all players can not log off any more. They soon find out that if they die in the game they die in real life, also all characters now look like how they look in real life. I personally find sword art to be a great anime with quite an interesting storyline, as you follow Kirito and the world of Sword Art Online you feel as though you are in the game too. SPOILER ALERT, (there are 4 games in Sword Art Online which are, Sword Art Online, Alfheim Online, Gun Gale Online and Underworld Online) SPOLER END. Sword Art Online is a popular anime and is still running, however I think that it could be a short anime, but we wont find out how it ends for a while now. If you want to see more of the story you can read the Manga (which has stopped publishing I don't know if its finished as I haven't read it, however the latest manga was released around May 2012). If you love online games and anime, Sword Art Online is a great Anime to follow!

Multiverse Theory

Before reading note that I'm try to simplify what I say so that any reader can understand, this in turn may cause some of my information to be a scientifically incorrect, but still along the right lines. If you want to learn more then I suggest you go into deeper research.

The Multiverse Theory is the theory that we are not the only universe. It's the theory that there are many more universes other than ours, which are unimaginably different. These universes may not have to apply to the laws of physics. This basically means that each universe has to follow these rules, but except for that each universe will be unique in its own way. The multiverse theory has been discussed before in the following fields: cosmology, physics,astronomy, religion, philosophy, transpersonal psychology and fiction,  mainly in science fiction and fantasy, basically meaning it isn't a new theory. Multiverse theory was coined by American philosopher and psychologist William James in 1985.

The Multiverse Theory also can also be tied into what is called the Bubble Theory. This is the theory that each universe within the multiverse is inside its own "bubble". The Bubble Theory explains why its highly likely that us as a human race will never be able to go into another universe within the Multiverse. The Bubble Theory states that between each universe there is a gap where nothing can exist meaning that we can not physically leave our own universe or "Bubble". However I say its highly unlikely for this reason, if somehow we manage to get the right technology, we can create a point so hot within our own universe that it will cause a bubble come out of our own universe, this will create a completely new universe. When this new bubble is formed there is a very small amount of time (probably smaller than milliseconds) where there is a kind of bridge between the our bubble and the new bubble, if we can travel that fast through this "bridge" then we will be in this new universe we just created. There will be no way for us to go back into our previous universe. We will be the "Gods" or creators of this new said universe.

Tips For Men

How to try get that girl you think is hot/nice

Now I'm no Romeo, Heart breaker, Player or any other name you want to call it but after reading a few articles and doing some pick-up, I think I've managed to get the gist of how to pick up a girl, most times. I say most times as every girl is different and you can not get every and any girl, if a girl doesn't like you, move on, who cares, there's plenty more girls out there.

1. Be confident. Girls love guys that are confident and feel comfortable with themselves. If you feel comfortable with yourself it will generally make her feel more at ease. Girls find confidence attractive, in my opinion, having confidence is more important than if you look hot or not. I understand it isn't as easy as me as  just saying be confident and it just happens, you need to build it. The way I built my confidence was by picking up girls that weren't too attractive, there's a high chance you will get their number because well, no one really wants to get her number, you don't have to call her back or anything. I know it sounds bad but it worked for me.

2. Make jokes/ Be funny. Making her laugh will make her happy and girls love a guy that can make her laugh. I mean who wants to be in a relationship with someone and they can't share jokes with each other, it just wont work out. The best relationship is when you're close friends with each other too.

3. Touch her. Now I don't mean touch her in a sexual way. I mean that you should do something like touch her arm while you're talking or brush hair out of her face if its windy. You have to kind of "style it out" though, you cant just touch her arm our of no where or it will just seem creepy and weird. Say if she told you a joke, you can laugh and touch her or or if she's sad then it will probably be okay to touch her arm for reassurance. It's hard to judge when you can and when you cannot, generally you will know when its right after a while.

4. Body language. If she smiles at you, smile back. Her smiling at you is kind of her way of saying "come talk to me" in a kind of subtle way. Sometimes she's just kind of saying hello, that's if you know her already. Even if she giggles after looking at you its a good sign, it's not normal but i've had a few girls giggle after I smiled at them or waved at them. There's also a certain kind of seductive look she will give you, I can't explain it but if you see it you will know. If she tries to hold your stare if you meet eyes it means she's could be into you or if she quickly looks away it could mean she was staring at you and is scared you caught her, or something like that. Also if she fixes her hair or re-applies her make up (something along those lines) after you look at her, she's probably trying to make sure that she looks nice for you. Some people say if her feet are pointing in your direction, sub-consciously she is attracted to you, or if her legs and arms aren't folded or if her chest is open, none of these are really important, a girl can be sitting down talking to you with her legs crossed because she does that all the time and find it comfortable, these last points are just so that you have a few more hints, but just because say, her feet aren't pointing towards you, it doesn't means she's not interested.

5. She wants you to "Rescue the damsel in distress". Say if you and this girl are outside somewhere together and she doesn't have a jacket and she suddenly says "I'm so cold!", she's basically wanting you to "save" her or a more appropriate would be that she wants you to assist her by giving you her jacket or jumper. She does this to see if you care about her or like her. In some instances, she will pretend that she's bad at doing something, say you're sitting next to each other in a lesson, she will pretend to not know what's going on, use this to help her out and show her you care. She does this to see how you react and if you really want to help her out. I would advise against doing this around other males as she might want some other guy to give her a coat (for example) and will be disappointed if you do, at the very least you will know that she isn't into you but you could feel a bit like an idiot. However if you are around your friends and you still give your jacket, she will be quite happy about it as it shows her that you don't care who knows or sees that you like her, making her feel special.

Grand Theft Auto 5 Information Update

We already know a bit about GTA5, such as the map size is going to be able to fit GTA 4, Red Dead Redemption and San Andreas, with still some extra space in it. A month ago Rockstar released their newest Grand Theft Auto 5 trailer, (the Second Official trailer released so far). Check out the trailer here :

So far we know that you will be able to play as 3 different protagonists which are:

Michael 
Michael is a retired successful criminal around his early 40s, which lives in the Rockford hills. Michael is a highly successful bank robber that retired and went into FIB witness protection with a great deal. He has a wife called Amanda it seems that they have a rocky relationship and kids Tracy & Jimmy are not understandable anymore. With his wife and family spending money endlessly and domestic life driving him crazy, Michael needs to leave his life of luxury and get back into "the business". Trevor and Michael are friends with each other. It is speculated the Ned Luke could be the voice actor for Michael.


Trevor Phillips
Trevor makes a living from being a criminal, he is around early 40's, possibly at a similar age to Michael. Trevor lives in Blaine County. Tevor is generally seen as a very crazy, spontaneous, drug abusing  kind of guy. We know that he is also an ex-military pilot who lives in a trailer out in the desert. He is friends with Michael and used to rob banks with him, people have speculated that perhaps Michael sold him out and Trevor didn't get the good life out of a big bank robbery like Michael did.


Franklin 
Franklin works as a Repo man for a Armenia luxury car dealer and does repossession when their customers can't pay. Franklin is about in his about in his mid 20's, still young unlike the other two protagonists. He lives in South Los Santos. Franklin generally hangs around with immature crazy friends (the kind that seem to shout YOLO blindly) until he meets Michael, which shows him another outlook to life and how to make some real money.

Movie: Fight Club

Fight Club came out in 1999 and ever since then has been one of my favourite films, and its many other peoples favourite films.

Plot Summary/Storyline:
In Fight Club we generally follow an Unnamed Protagonist and Narrator, who is acted out by Edward Norton. The protagonist has insomnia and leads a very dreary and uneventful life a. He joins certain meetup groups just so he can cry with them, even though he has none of their problems. Eventually he meets Tyler Durden, acted out by Brad Pitt. Tyler Durden is an out going, crazy yet motivational kind of man. Together, the Unnamed Protagonist and Tyler Durden start Fight Club, an illegal club where people come together to fight, the plot takes some time to unfold, but when it does it's becomes crazy. This film also has a great ending to it.

My Personal Opinion:
I personally loved Fight Club. However the first time I watched Fight Club, I found the first 30 minutes or so completely boring and I was about to stop watching it, however it picked up after a while and became truly interesting. After the beginning I kept on wanting to watch and see what was going next, it had me hooked, and the ending was totally unseen (for me) even though I should have expected it. If you haven't watched Fight Club I advise you to do so as its one of my favourite movies and a must watch in my opinion! Fight club gets my Epic Movie Award.

Movie: The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey

The Hobbit was release on the 13th of December for the UK and the 14th of December for the US. The release dates for each country varies but the latest date for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is 26th December, countries such as Australia and Poland have such a late release date. 

Plot Summary/Story Line:
Bilbo Baggins, the protagonist of this story and uncle of Frodo Baggins (From Lord of The Rings) is visited by our long lost friend Gandalf and Dwarves without notice, to join them in a quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor which was taken from them by the evil dragon Smaug. Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakenshield. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers, these are some of the mythical creatures that can be found in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets Gollum the vial and disgusting creature we've already know from the Lord of The Rings. Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake,  Bilbo Baggins finds what he calls his "Tookish" side (a part of his bloodline) and finds an undiscovered sense of confidence, he also gains possession of Gollum's "precious" ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities ... A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know.


My Personal Opinion:
I personally believe that The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey does live up to my expectations and does well for J.R Tolkiens name. Having read the book, I was surprised when they said that they was going to make The Hobbit a trilogy, as the book was only about 300 to 400 pages long, while the Lord of The Rings book were way greater in numbers. However, I believe they have managed to pull it off and made a good film out of it. Don't expect the same amount of epic action that Lord of the Rings had, only until (I guess) the last movie, I know there will be an epic battle as I've read the book, I wont say anything else about this battle as I don't want to spoil the story for people only wanting to watch the movies. So overall I will say the The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is a film you should watch and it deserves my Epic Movie Award of!

Tips on how to be a better player: Edition 2

1. Do not rage! Obviously you're going to come across someone that just annoys you, feeds, trolls and doesn't listen to the team, but don't rage, just ignore the person and try to carry the team. If you rage you start to loose focus. Also if someone is trying hard and you just rage at them over something little (like accidentally taking blue) and constantly treat them illy throughout the whole game, that player isn't going to even want to play any more and wont put hardly any effort into playing.


2. How to get out of "Elo Hell". I'm going to make this simple, firstly communicant and lead your team, a team with no communication in ranked will probably fail since you have no team play. If you find that EVERYONE you get paired with seems to suck, then go duo queue with someone you know is a decent player, meaning there is a higher chance you will win. Learn how to play every role, you have to adapt to what the other team is doing, you can't just call a lane and not do anything after. Use runes, they're very useful early game and could decide whether or not you win or lose your game.


3. Have Map Awareness. It's what it's called basically, know what's going on in the map, know who's missing, know where you can get ganked. Also watch your team mates and see if they need urgent help and you're near, this could turn a 1v2 gank into a double kill for one of you. Having good map awareness means you can have good map control. You should know the general spots where ganks occurs.

Tips on how to be a better player edition

#1. Learn how to last hit! Last hitting is such an important part of the game, its your main source of income and is vital to you doing well (unless you're support or fed).



#2 If you're being chased by a group of enemies which haven't attacked you for a while, die to tower without letting any of the enemies hit you, this means that no one will get any gold for your death.

(Not like this obviously)

#3 WARDS! Wards save lives, please buy a ward today and save another summoners life. But seriously, vision on map will stop so many deaths, this is why its vital supports buy wards.



#4 If you're going to play ranked make sure you know how to play every lane with at least one champ! Ranked isn't like normal games where you just call your lane and lock in, sometimes you need to adapt and pick the right lane to counter the opposite team, don't play ranked if you're not ready, you will end up in ELO HELL.



#5 Call a miss! I know this is a general rule for anyone level 30, hell probably anyone level 20 as well, but some people just can't be bothered to call SS or MIA every 5 minutes, but trust me it will stop so many ganks. Also respond you misses, if a lane has called a miss and the jungler is no where to be seen and your lane is pushing... You're probably getting ganked!
